Speedway racing here in Western Australia would not be the same without the familiar John Day utes parading around the track, pushing the cars onto the track and entertaining the crowd in their own way.
Thank you to John and Janet Day and the extended Day family that have been part of speedway for longer can most of us can remember.
And also to the push ute drivers who take pride in the job they do – it is certainly appreciated by the crowd as well as the drivers.
This Saturday night we have a Firecracker of an event for you, thanks to Coates Hire, that includes another round of the Wormall Civil Sprintcars where the drivers will be looking to gain maximum points in the season-long track championship.
On top of that the sprintcar teams are contesting the first round of the AHG Triple Crown that is a new mini-series to provide a bit more interest in racing at the end of the season.
The Coates Hire Late Models return to the track and a very healthy field is locked into a big night of racing that will culminate with the 20-lap final at the end of the show.
The Pool Shop Group Speedcars are back on track after an epic WA championship race here two weeks ago
To round out the racing action we welcome back the Harris Engines Wingless Sprints that provide some very close, wheel-to-wheel action and tonight will be no different.
And at the end of the night we will have the Coates Hire Monster Fireworks.
As we said, it is going to be a Firecracker of a show…book your tickets online and we will see you trackside this Saturday night.
