Welcome Race Fans to the Di Candilo Steel City Silver Cup Super Speedway Show. A huge thank you goes to John Di Candilo and his team from Di Candilo Steel City for once again supporting this event and we welcome John and his staff and guests to this weekend’s event. What a great way to celebrate the penultimate round of the Perth Motorplex Track Championship as it stages the third ever Figure 8 Demo Derby in Perth with the states worst drivers expected to do what they do best and that's crash and smash their cars until there is only one car left running. Now if this doesn't excite you, you haven't got a pulse!  Ok, now let's get your pulse racing a little harder, because what we will do next to spice things up a little, no make that a lot, is to put some jumps in the middle of the Demo Derby course to create some further mayhem. Just picture the style of the Dukes of Hazard General Lee jumping over mounds of dirt and getting crashed into by several cars all at the same time. The best thing is there is 'no script', 'no director' yelling cut or actors swapping drivers. This  is
the real deal and live right in front of your eyes.As with all the exciting events at the Perth Motorplex Super Speedway, before the Dukes of Destruction do battle an awesome racing program will take place with the 13th Annual Di Candilo Steel City Sprintcar Silver Cup being the main draw card along with the Super Sedans, 360 Sprintcars, AJC All Colour Painting Group Formula 500's, Street Stocks and Junior Sedans. Luch Monte won last years Di Candilo Steel City sponsored event in a dominant performance and should be the main to beat once again this summer. What a night it will be when you throw in WA Speedway's big names including WA State Champion Ryan Farrell, Watsons Express Transport Champion Jamie Maiolo, AHG Series number 1 Ben Ellement and his brother David, Rick Geneve, Shaun Bradford, Carl Dowling, Kris Coyle and Albany express pair of brothers David and Greg Hall.  The Wild and Wingless Speedcars will battle it out in this action packed race meeting. The Silver Cup also marks the Grand Final for the Perth Motorplex Late Model Track Championship with an excellent entry list promised. The Super Sedans should attract a quality field that includes WA Champion Rob Bawdon from Kalgoorlie, Marc Giancola, The three Higgs in Gary, Keith and Dustin and former Tasmanian top gun Kemble Aylett. The stars of the future in the Junior Sedans will battle it out for Silver Cup glory. So there you have it a very busy Super Speedway show proudly supported by the Bayswater based Di Candilo Steel City.
