Last years inaugural Magic Man 34 was a truly memorable one with a large contingent of visiting drivers from the

Michael Figliomeni was the Magic Man who was a multi time national Speedcar Champion and also showed how talented
he was when he parked himself in a Sprintcar.

As a tribute to Figliomeni an annual race was inaugurated to celebrate not only Figliomeni's life - but also to
showcase the division he was so passionate about - the wild and wingless Speedcars.
The feature race will be held over a torrid 34 laps in recognition of the famous number 34 Figliomeni carried.
A number of East Coast teams are expected to nominate for this event such is the desire to become the winner of
the second annual Magic Man 34 including the inaugural victor Sydney’s Mark Brown. Brown is the nations leading
Speedcar driver and would love nothing more than going back to back in this very emotional event.
Early indications are that Sydneysiders Matt Young, Anthony Brien and Mark Cooper are expected to participate.
Western Australia’s best drivers including State Champion Neville Lance, Scott Glazebrook, Tommy Watson and a whole
cast of fast drivers.
In addition to the Magic Man 34 Speedcars there will be a huge night of Super Speedway action with Watsons Express
Transport Sprintcars, Late Models, AJC All Colour Painting Group Formula 500s and the stars of the future in the
Junior Sedans.
During his career the late great Figliomeni competed with distinction everything he tried including Speedcars,
Sprintcars and Sedans on the dirt ovals of the country.
