is the Australian Sprintcar Championship and for the very first time the Perth Motorplex is proud to be hosting
the 47th Annual Title over three huge nights. Night 1 Thursday 5th February 2009 Qualifying and Heats Night 2 Friday 6th February 2009 Heats and Prelim Feature Races Night 3 Saturday 7th February 2009 Championship Final For the first time since 1993 the Championship will be staged in Perth and is expected to attract Australia’s best Sprintcar drivers from around Australia including: Brooke Tatnell NSW Multi Australian and World Series Champion Max Dumesny NSW Multi Australian and World Series Champion Robert Farr NSW Australian Speedcar and Sprintcar Champion Ian Loudon NSW Parramatta City Raceway Track Champion Todd Wanless QLD Australian Sprintcar Champion Danny Reidy QLD World Series Sprintcars top gun Bryan Mann QLD Brisbane based standout Warren Ekins NT Australian Speedcar and NT Sprintcar Champion Benny Atkinson NT Top End Tear Away Dave Murcott VIC World Series Sprintcar sensation Trevor Green SA South Australian Sprintcar Champion Steve Lines SA Mt Gambier – South Australian Champion Steve Caunt ACT Australian Formula 500 ace The Western Australian Sprintcar drivers can’t wait for this weekend to gain some home track advantage on the home of WA Speedway – The Perth Motorplex.  Leading the charge from the west is Multi State Champion Ryan Farrell. “Flyan” Ryan as he is affectionately known amongst the sports enthusiasts has finished 2nd twice in the Australian Championship and never before has he had a better chance to earn the right to wear the coveted number 1 on his race car. Watsons Express Transport Perth Motorplex Track Champion Jamie Maiolo is another driver looking forward to the title heading west and “The Myalup Missile” will be ‘a man on a mission’ come, February 09.  The Western Australian sentimental
favourite will know doubt be Wanneroo market gardener Luch Monte. If form is anything to by then Monte could very
well be the man to beat. Monte, won the most main events last summer in the west and with some big blue ribbon
wins under his belt including the Silver Cup and the race that many say was without doubt the best ever Speedway
race witnessed the Gold Cup Grand Final, you had better keep an eye on the yellow number 17. Throw in AHG Sprintcar Series Champion Ben Ellement and his brother David and you have a recipe for WA to really take it up to the interstate invaders.
