The Perth Motorplex would like to congratulate Office Manager Juliet Davis and her husband Steve on the arrival of Lil' Dude Davis on Wednesday 16 April. Weighing in at a healthy 3.47kgs (7.10lbs in the old language) and 51cm in length the bouncing baby boy will be named once the parents get to know him a lttle better. (...what? Take him out for a candle lit dinner at Maccas?) Mum (Juliet who started with Perth Motorplex in 1995) and Baby are doing well. Dad was quoted as saying "Making little people - WOW" Given that this is the first of the Davis clan - and given the excellent result we can only imagine that Lil' Davis will not have to wait too long for a little brother or sister!

The Perth Motorplex office ran a sweep on the babies weight with the winner receiving a day off. It was won by...Gary!?!?! Following is a message from Company Director Gary Miocevich in response to the news - and the resultant protests. (Which have not been upheld...the Adjudicator dismissed all protests...oh by the way - Gary is of course the adjudicator in all such cases...) Congratulation to Steve and Jules .... they've done great! And on the weight game ....there was much science involved in my Jnr Davis weight prediction. I carefully listened to Juliet's footsteps during the pregnancy and I was able to translate the sounds into the a weight calculation as I knew the 'pre-prego' foot step sound and the ever changing 'prego' footstep sound. I made an allowance for placenta and other fat stuff that goes with babies, to arrive at the new boy's net weight. The only thing I couldn't get right was the actual birth date as I calculated that he would share my birth date of the 8th. That extra ounce of weight was obviously added by the late arrival. It's hard to be perfect! Ahhh ...don't you love it when you win something! I think Juliet outa get the day off,...perhaps even a few! Gary
