FORD V HOLDEN - IRISH STYLE |
|
|
| While most of us are turning our thoughts to the Anzac Day Ford Vs Holden
meet, spare a thought for the Motorplex’s resident leprechaun whose poor brain is constantly being bashed between
the competing brands. Rick’s work for the National magazines is well known and in recent months he has been skipping between Ford and Holden write ups like a …well, like a Leprechaun doing an Irish Jig! “The very latest issue of Xtreme Fords – no.5 in fact – is in the newsagencies of Australia right now with my wrap up of all the Ford action from the Goldenstates back in December,” enthused Rick, “ and the same issue has our full feature on Yvette Gregg’s stunning XE.” Rick admitted that the 2007 / 2008 season has been a biggie for Ford coverage and that there is a proverbial bucket load yet to come. |

| “We’ve still got our full features on Mike Smith’s Capri to come, both of
the Moresby boys have their features yet to be published as well, not to mention Rod Zuidema’s XD, the Fatboyz
XA, the Chapman Mustang …” We’ll stop Rick right there, because the Supercharged Outlaws field we know is one of the Leprechaun’s favourite classes and a firm target for publicity. “Yes, we’ve previously featured Ian Foster’s ute in Street Commodores, as well as Pino Priolo’s black beast, but I’m particularly excited about the next issue of Street Commodores which hits the news-stands of Australia on May 9th and with our full feature on Craig Glasby’s bright orange VK.” |

| Rick also revealed that this next issue of Australia’s favourite Commodore
magazine would also have all of the Commodore action from Motorvation 22 back in January. Yet as the Demtel idiot used to say – “but wait, there’s more !” Rick again, “Xtreme Holdens is a sister title to Street Commodores and we’ve got a fair bit to come in that area too …. right now I’m up to me neck preparing a full report on all of the Holden action from the 2007 / 2008 season and there’s potentially a few feature articles to come out of all that too.” Clearly, there doesn’t seem to be much of an off season on the way for Rick - which we can all be thankful for - as it gives us all something to read while we wait for the new season to start!
