ANDRA CHAMPIONSHIP DATES RELEASED

Conditions will be perfect for Top Fuel in December

The Perth Motorplex in conjunction with the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) have released the dates for next seasons Championship rounds at the Perth Motorplex. There have been several changes to the calendar with the most notable being the move of the Perth round of the Australian Top Fuel Championship from February to the first weekend of December. The event will be held over two days with qualifying on Friday night the 5th of December and eliminations on Saturday night the 6th.

Another significant change is the annual Goldenstates, featuring Top Doorslammer and Top Bike rounds. The event has been bought forward to mid November with qualifying on Friday night the 14th and eliminations on Saturday night the 15th of November.

Newly crowned Australian Top Doorslammer Champion, John Zappia, will be defending his title at the Goldenstates in mid November and again at the Chill Westernationals on the Labor Day Longweekend.

The Perth rounds of the Australian Top Alcohol and Pro Stock Motorcycle Championship are now in late January with eliminations on Friday night 30th and eliminations on Saturday night the 31st.

Brett Stevens will be returning to the Perth Motorplex in the Kitten Car Care Funny Car in January for the Australian Top Alcohol Championship round.

The 38th running of the Chill Westernationals featuring rounds of Top Doorslammer, Top Bike and the Rocket Allstars Racing Series (RARS) remains on it's tradional Labor Day Long weekend date with qualifying on Saturday 28 February and eliminations on Sunday.

Top Bike will return to the Perth Motorplex for both the Goldenstates in November and the Westernationals on the Labor Day Long Weekend in 2009.

A full 2008/2009 Perth Motorplex event calendar will be released on June 30 2008.
