Top Fuel Dragsters return to Western Australia by popular demand

It’s expected more than 10,000 people will attend the Perth Motorplex for the event on the March long weekend

Get ready to start your engines as the fastest accelerating land vehicles in the world return to Western Australia as Top Fuel Dragsters announce they will attend the Westernationals Drag Racing event on February 29 and 1 March 2020.

The announcement was made at the first event for 2020 at the Perth Motorplex, the Summer Slam and Funny Car Match Race, and the announcement of the Top Fuel Dragster event was a perfect way to mark the day.

The Top Fuel Dragsters, which are the loudest, most popular and fastest drag racing vehicles in the world, boast between 8,000 and 10,000 horsepower and reach speeds in excess of 450km/hr in just 300 metres.

The popular event will be returning to the Westernationals on the Labour Day long weekend and is expected to be a sell-out with over 10,000 people in attendance witnessing over 150 competitors in action across all event categories.

This is the first time in two years that the Top Fuel Dragsters have come to Perth Motorplex and the event will feature four of the extremely rare vehicles.

Perth Motorplex is no stranger to the rumble and roar of engines, hosting multiple drag racing, speedway and burnout events every week during the summer season.

Perth Motorplex is one of the top motorsport venues in the world and has welcomed more than 30,000 competitors and spectators in the past three months already.
