Veal will be behind the wheel of the one of the best cars in Australia – the W2 Transport Equipment Hire/Krikke Motorsport car that was raced successfully aross Australia by Brooke Tatnell.
Given the Victorian’s form this season and the fact that he is teaming up with the Krikke team will make him very hard to beat in the 30-lap feature race next week.
Veal dominated the World Series Sprintcars field at the Motorplex in February before he blew a right rear tyre.
Cameron Gessner, who two weeks ago wrapped up the 2014-15 AHG Sprintcar Series Championship, will be part of the action, as will David Priolo (who won the series Grand Final) along with fellow podium finishers Ryan Farrell and Jamie Maiolo.
Terry Cutts, who has been racing in the 360 division, along with Jason Priolo, are two welcome additions to the field.
Aldo De Paoli and Corey Hunter have also nominated to be part of the field that will be contesting the Coates Hire General Firecracker that pays tribute to The General John Day.
The format for the Triple Crown has changed from the regular AHG rounds.
Instead of drivers doing hotlaps/qualifying in seeded groups at the start of the night they will do hot laps in groups and then do individual time trials over two laps each.
The quickest drivers will be at the rear of the field in one round of heats and at the front in the other round, with rows crossed over.
After the heat races there will be the Wormall Civil Knockout to the pole where the top-qualifying drivers will fight it out to see who will start on pole in a series of two-lap knockout bouts.
