After a bumper season in 2022-23, Perth Motorplex are proud to announce the new calendar for 2023-24 season, featuring a total of 29 showcase events from Drag Racing, Speedway, Burnouts and more!
The upcoming season is highlighted by several marquee events including 2 rounds of the newly formed National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC), USA v WA Sprintcar Speedweek, the Australian Speedcar Championship; a raft of Burnout special events, headlined by Motorvation 38 in early February 2024. PLUS some special events that are too hot to announce right now!
Drag racing fans will be treated to 9 rounds of the WA Drag Racing Championship, including the 49th Annual Goldenstates – hosting Round 3 of the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) – featuring Nitro Funny Cars, Top Doorslammer, Top Fuel Motorcycle and Pro Alcohol (November 24-25).
The NDRC will return for round 8 in 2024 for the 53rd Annual Westernationals (March 2-3, 2024) Featuring the Burson Auto Parts Top Fuel Championship, Top Doorslammer and Top Fuel Motorcycle.
The other 7 rounds of the WA Drag Racing Championship will boast an impressive lineup of Western Australia’s best drag racing teams and they put it all on the line – with some remaining special event features yet to be announced – its exciting times!

Speedway lovers can also rejoice – coming off the back of a blockbuster season in 2022-23, Perth Motorplex will once again host 14 rounds of the ultra-competitive Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series, including 4 rounds of the popular USA v WA Sprintcar Speedweek series running from Boxing Day to mid January 2024; and the return of the popular Krikke Boys Shootout (February 16-17, 2024).
The ‘plex will also proudly play host to another National Championship event – the Australian Speedcar Championship (March 6, 8 & 9, 2024) running across 3 nights in early March.

The ‘plex also has some super special speedway events in the works – but we can’t tell you about them yet! Once the full information is available, we will be making a lot of noise – so be sure to keep an eye on our social media and website in the coming weeks when we get to announce them.
There is plenty on offer for the wilder petrolheads and fans among us, with Four major Burnout events spread throughout the season – featuring Burnout Boss (October 14) and Good Friday Burnout King (March 29) at their traditional timeslots; and the return of the popular Burnout Blitz event during the Christmas holiday period (December 27). Plus, the 38th Running of the Motorvation 3-day car festival (February 2-4) featuring Show ’n’ shine, Burnouts, live music and drag racing!
The remainder of the season calendar will be made up of 5 rounds of ‘Fast Friday’ events (details and info coming soon) and 37 weeks of Formula Tech Performance WhoopAss Wednesdays – giving the Perth petrolheads and car lovers the chance to enjoy their street machine, daily driver or hot car on the drag strip every Wednesday night from September to May, plus weekly Burnouts!
Lastly, some good news for the die-hard ‘plex lovers – Season Memberships will be available for purchase from Monday August 28th, 2023.
