Perth Motorplex update: ANDRA appointed drag racing sanctioning body

I am pleased to advise that the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) has now been confirmed as the drag racing sanctioning body for Perth Motorplex.

VenuesWest is working with ANDRA to plan a smooth transition for the venue and for alternatively licensed drivers.

ANDRA has confirmed they will offer credit for current International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) licence holders when purchasing an ANDRA unlimited Group Two or Three licence or a Group One licence. A credit of $50 will be applied where the licence expires in six months or less, and $100 if the licence is valid for more than six months. In addition, ANDRA will recognise a competitor’s valid IHRA medical certificate for a period of up to two years from their commencement date.

ANDRA has also confirmed they will hold a free technical inspection day at Perth Motorplex at a date to be set shortly.

We can also advise that two ANDRA Championship events will be held at Perth Motorplex this season.

The Goldenstates Drag Racing Championships will run on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 February 2017, and Westernational Drag Racing Championships on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 March 2017.

Our new Perth Motorplex General Manager Shane Walsh is working hard with the team to get ready for an exciting season of speedway racing, drag racing and burnouts.
