Speedway Track Records Tumble in 2021/22
Perth Motorplex is delighted to announce a bold, exciting new relationship with the Summernats event team for one of Australia’s longest running Car Festivals, Motorvation.
The relationship clicks into immediate gear, with Summernats partnering with the iconic WA venue straight out of the gate for Motorvation 35 – staged over three big days, January 15 to 17, 2021.
Motorvation at its zenith brought huge crowds and a recent surge is expected to explode further, with a relationship with an event team that knows the car show industry intimately.
“We’re looking at a real partnership around programming, awards, judging and other content,” remarked Summernats representative Andy Lopez.
“The relationship with Motorvation and us isn’t brand new. Motorvation has been a Superstars qualifying event for MotorEx for a long time.”
“We’ve also seen a bunch of the best burnout drivers from WA qualify to compete in the Burnout Masters competition at Summernats as a result of winning Motorvation, so we know just how passionate and skilled people are in the west.”

The Perth Motorplex Snake Pit is one of Australia’s iconic Burnout Pads and Burnout drivers will be laying it all on the line as Motorvation 35 will be a qualifying round for the Summernats Burnout Masters, and for the first time, the winning driver will be crowned Motorvation Burnout Master.
VenuesWest CEO David Etherton said he was thrilled to enter into a formal relationship with Summernats with the popular Motorvation event, which is held annually.
“Over the last few years attendance levels for Motorvation have continued to grow. The last event held in January continued this trend. This is the perfect event to partner with the Summernats team, given its proven success.”

Perhaps the most exciting change is taking Motorvation back to a three-day event for entrants, with Friday judging, cruising, music and camping. The crowds come in Saturday all the way through to show close late Sunday afternoon, we’ll be showing, racing, skidding, cruising and partying together virtually non-stop!
