The scheduled Perth Motorplex Nitro Max III Drag Racing event for this Saturday 26th March 2022, has unfortunately been cancelled due to the unfavourable weather forecast.
The Nitro Max series and Top Doorslammer ‘Summerslam’ championship were both scheduled with a full support program this weekend, but sadly will not go ahead.
“The Perth Motorplex team have been studying the forecast all week with initial reports of showers being expected for the weekend”, said General Manager Paul Trengove.
“We waited as long as we could in the hope the weather forecast would clear up, but instead it has worsened, forcing us to make this decision.”
All ticket holders will be refunded.
Drag Racing now looks forward to its drag racing grand final event featuring the Bursons Top Fuel Australia championship. This is the first time in years that a full schedule of the nitro guzzling Top Fuel dragsters will take to the dragway here in Western Australia and a huge crowd is expected for this exciting event.
“We are extremely excited to welcome back the fastest cars on the planet. Western Australia has been starved of these incredible machines and we cannot wait to have them back at the Perth Motorplex”, stated Trengove.
“With COVID restrictions and capacity limits still in place, I urge all race fans to book their tickets early as there are only limited seats available”.
Early Bird pricing for the Electrical Group Training ANDRA Drag Racing Grand Final, featuring Top Fuel dragsters will end next week.
