The new season maintains many of the same elements as previous Whoop Ass Wednesday Seasons, with off-street drag racing at the core focus, and theme nights running every week offering half price entry to anyone racing their car or bike that fits the ‘theme’.
PLUS – we welcome back some great additions to Whoop Ass Wednesday action, with the Dial-Your-Own Handicap (DYO) rounds of racing – running from approx. 7pm to 8pm and available to anyone racing their car or bike who wants to test themselves (and their vehicle) against the Christmas tree. With cool prizes up for grabs too! Each week we will give away the ‘best package’ contest for bikes and cars – going to the driver to runs the ‘Best Package’ during the DYO racing rounds.
The Best Package is determined by the lowest time difference between the racers Elapsed Time (ET) and their Dial-In…added to their Reaction Time (RT). Having a fast or slow car doesn’t matter in DYO racing! (Package = Dial In – ET + RT)
JACKPOT! The ‘Perfect Run’ Jackpot will also make a return at Whoop Ass Wednesdays this season. This again is on offer during the Dial-Your-Own Handicap (DYO) rounds of racing, The winner will be the first person to run a “perfect ET” matching their Dial-In down to 0.001 seconds during those rounds. Starting at $500 and going up by $100 each week until it goes off!
Last season, only one person nailed their ET at the final WAW of the season and took home $2500 for their troubles – could it be you this time?
Each night, we will cap off the evening on the snake pit with Burnouts! Weekly warriors will throw down every Wednesday night to put on a show for the fans and take home the ‘sickest skidder of the night’ plate to proudly display on the mantle.
The traditional ‘Hour of Power’ with $500 of Prize money and full scoring for burnouts will run on the first Wednesday of each month…plus an all-in Hour of Power Grand Finale at the end of the season!
